Just read that longtime Jeopardy host Alex Trebek succumbed to the pancreatic cancer he has been battling for the last year or so. 2020 YOU F*****NG SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Been a longtime fan of the show, will not be the same without him, he was a fixture on TV.
DAMN!

R.I.P. Alex:(

Sorry, but you didn't make this annoucement in the form of a question.

Sad news to hear, indeed.

Very sad, worked right up until his passing. Apparently shows have been recorded/completed to be aired until Christmas this year.
Was also a Geography Bee host for 25 years.
RIP Alex and THANK YOU!

That was a good show, with perhaps the best host it could ever have. He was a good dude. May he rest in peace. ....and post #6 is hilarious.

Now its final. Question: What was 2020? "What was the worst year for millennials?" Correct! RIP Alex, you will be missed. Now, lets get Dan Patrick to do Jeopardy.

In 1992 when I got cable TV in the Duplex, there would be an east coast feed and West coast feed for many TV shows. I got in the habit of watching the East coast episodes of Jeopardy before the Wife got home. Later, when the West coast feed came on, we'd watch it together. I started rattling off the correct responses to some really obscure stuff. It was fun to see the amazement in her face when I knew the inventor of plastic or the dictator of Uganda in 1842 and other weird stuff.

So sorry to read this. Mr. Trebek and 'JEOPARDY!' are nightly guests in our home. It's an automatic recording on the DVR so we can catch it later if we're not at home.
My wife and I got to view a taping of several shows about six years ago and Mr. Trebek was as nice and friendly on the set talking and visiting with the studio audience as he comes across while watching the show on TV.
My kids both grew up watching the show and are still loyal watchers (they both record it as well).
I always felt it was just about the only game show on TV that you could learn from.
His loss is huge for the show. Ken Jennings was added to the show as a consulting producer when they started taping the new season in July.
Whoever is chosen as the next host has huge shoes to fill.
Now Alex knows the answer to the question, "What's on the other side?"

2020 just continues to suck. Less than 2 months left and I'm afraid of what might be next.

Alex was great as the host. My mom loved to watch Jeopardy right to the end for her as well. Been watching it with her for as long as I can remember, back into the early 70's when Art Fleming was host.

2020 has definitely been a shithole.

I think most of us will look back at 2020 with pure disgust. Also long after we are dead and gone history will prove it to be a black eye to the whole world.

RIP Alex. He hung on as long as he could. I think they said he worked Thursday or Friday. He was a class act for sure.

It's incredible he worked right up till he passed. Gotta wonder what his treatments were? It was hard to tell by looking at him that he was stricken with cancer.

RIP Alex Trebek.

I hope I can be as courageous when its my time.

Thought you were going to say Danica. :)

RIP Alex. You fought cancer hard with intelligence and grace.
