Late year swap kit (‘79) LA-B/RB
Based on the instructions for the kit, looks like the mount through bolt comes down about an inch besides sliding over. So if someone tried to build mounts using the OEM brackets, they would have to add length to it as well.
It appears this is due to interference with the oil pump. Is there an option for a pump that would remove this issue?
I've toyed with putting a BB in my Duster, but don't have a spare V8 K-Frame and don't want to modify mine. This is so I could go back to the #'s matching motor if I did swap it out. Be nice to find a way to bolt a BB in without having to cut something up.
Worst case, I will keep my eyes open for a later K (/6 or V8) and use it if I decide to go down the BB rabbit hole.
