North Dakota Mopar find

-
I kept the old school Playboy air freshener hanging on the rear view mirror. My friend even gave me a December 1968 Playboy that has a 1969 Charger advertisement on the back cover!

Un freakin believably cool story. What a great car and a great story. Props to your friend for wanting to give the car the life it deserves with someone he knew would appreciate it and respect it. The work you’ve already done is tasteful and proves that.

I really enjoy driving the Charger. Its not perfect (small surface rust and wear on the edges where the paint is almost to the primer) but how often can you say the paint is from Ma Mopar. I'm still an A body man, but the Charger looks good in my shop!

Great read, it's a car that will be with you as long as it was with your friend I'm sure. Love those A-bodies, but I'm a Charger guy first. Thanks for the story, good luck with it.

Would be interesting to learn where the car has been. I had a high school physics teacher, early 80’s that had two 69 RT’s. One was a 4 speed car , the other was and automatic SW Ohio. Body color was exactly the same on them both. They matched yours which by the way is beautiful. My cousin bought the 4 speed car and the automatic was sold. If I recall right the two cars were consecutive build numbers.

Picture of the back of the Playboy and the original sales brochure.

I still have the seat covers and original inserts. The seat covers and inserts are stamped 1968 Chrysler Corp on the back side

This turned out a lot better than I thought it would, cudos to you and the original owner!

Nice ! Power disc brake car and cruise ! What else ? Did you decode it ?
My first car was a 70 Charger SE 383 magnum loaded with options.. sold it 4 years ago . Never thought I would but had a house to buy .

I've decoded it...I can't name everything off the top of my head though.

There are no words.
Im happy for you,and im shocked he sold it. Guess he knew it would go to a good home.

My friend is looking for someone to trade a classic for his 2015 Scat Pack! That Charger looks nice!

The Keystone Raider wheels look great on it! I had a set of those on a 73 Challenger back in 1977. Everybody else had Cragars….and I've always had to be different!

They are in great shape...just a little surface rust in a couple spots. I wanted to go more original. I have stayed stock style wheels on all my Mopars.
