for a sister church of ours

their assistant pastor went out with two friends last nite to watch the storm on the lake
i guess one of the waves was a little worse then the others and knocked all three of em of the pier and into the lake

the two friends were able to get themselves out of the water and called 911
they dispatched the coastgaurd and the fire department and they were able to locate Lance, who was clinging on to the rocks

at some point he must have lost his grip, and got swept under again
the coast guard put divers into the water, but had to call off the search after a few hours the conditions got so bad they had to come out

they started the search again this morning, and just recovered his body

pray for his wife, and his loved ones

You got it sir. Terrible tragedy.

Rest in Peace Brother Lance.
All God's grace to the family and friends.

It is very sad to lose a friend, spouse, family member, even a pet can be a very hard thing to live thru. God takes us in many ways. May his family and friends find peace in knowing he has eternal peace and tranquility.
A friend of my 25 yr old son hung himself off a bridge 2 days ago right in front of their highschool in broad daylight. That is not going out with a fight but giving up trying to live. I cannot imagine the sorrow that the family is going thru. May God bless all who suffer a tragic loss and those that have to succumb. Everytime I hear of a tragic loss, my heart is torn for them and I can feel the anguish and pain involved. My prayers will be included.

Thanks guys

It sounds like the funeral will be this Friday

As tragic as this is, I am glad they found his body so quickly

There have been times people drown out here and they are not recovered for months

What a tragic way to lose someone, prayers offered for healing and comfort for his friends and family
