[WANTED] Small Bolt Drums

I tried Rock Auto to no avail, searched the forum a bit, and decided to just post. Where can I find 10" drums with what seems to be 2 1/4 - 2 3/4 breaking surface, 8 3/4 rear, small bolt pattern for 1968 Barracuda?

I bought a new pair, but one is badly warped. I cannot return and the guy doesn't have others to replace.

Thanks

You might also see if a B body car had a similar drum. My 8.75 came out of a C body. Instead of combing the junk yard, I bought complete brakes for a 69 Dodge Monoco

Bolt pattern and back spacing mismatch.

Your rear brakes might be 10x1.75 but later years used 10 x 2.5 (IIRC) all with SBP 5x4

This is all assuming that the rear is an OEM A body housing and axles

Thanks. I am really not sure if rear is original or not. I measured everything back when first bought the drums. !0 x 2.5 is later than 1968?

Have you tried a wanted thread? I know there was one here lately but there was questions about minimum size if they have been turned. It looks like Rockauto has a selection. 1970 DODGE DART 5.2L 318cid V8 Drum | RockAuto

Yes, it does look like R.A. has listings for factory SBP specs. (Centric or Dynamic - 10" rear). Maybe out of stock?
Also Partsgeek has listing and cheaper than R.A.

According to the ad, there is only one left.
You better jump on it!
However, did you want the ''Bell'' type as original, or something that would just work?
I'm not sure how original you want to go here......

A application may help us all here. The OP's avatar shows a 67 Notchback but we don't know if that's what he needs drums for.

Typically the machined face on the drum is wider than the shoe. So a 2.25 width might be spot on for 1.75 wide shoe.

2.75 might be for 2.5 width shoe

. 10 x 2.5 is later than 1968

I think it was in the 70s when that happened, might even be on 8.25 axle

Of the 10" brakes, all SBP A-body rear brakes are 10 X 1 3/4". That is the shoe size. The drum will measure a bit more than that on width. Maximum drum diameters were either 10.060" or 10.090" depending on year and drum manufacturer. Usually, the 10.060 drums were the earlier ones and not stamped with the size limit. The later ones (such as the bell type) and aftermarket drums were usually the 10.090 type and that size was stamped into the drum.

The 10 X 2 1/2' rear brakes started in 1973 on BBP rear ends.....both the 7 1/4 and 8 1/4 rears.

Not looking for original. Thanks for the info.
