What years and models of a bodies hoods will will fit this car , attached is the hood I have currently

How are the fenders and core support different?

A lot of people are under the impression that all A bodies are the same ,

71-72 has a different front end , hood is rounded grill is different

73-74 duster has a peaked nose

dart has a different front clip from duster .

they made slight changes about every few years
depending on year .

I know there are styling differences, but as far as sticking a pre-73 hood on a 73+ car, I believe it would line up fine with the fenders. I haven't seen anyone try it or even seen pictures, just basing it on visual analysis.

1st 71 dart swinger same front end as a dart sport .
2nd 76 dart sport
3rd 74 duster

All are A bodies ,
none are interchangeable without changing the v fenders , ans grills and rad supports

A little more clarification/detail:

1) '70 - '72 Swinger and Demon are similar and can be interchanged.

2) Is a '73-'74 Dart Sport/Swinger/4 door sedan based on the grille. Front bumpers started to use the shock absorber brackets in late production '74 through '76. That can cause some interchange issues there.

3) Without more info, it can be any Duster from '73 - '76. Same bumper/bracket info as Dart Sport applies to the respective Duster years. Hood has home-cut holes for a Dart Sport scoop. Dusters never had that scoop option.

It's usually best to swap the entire front clips for best fit. The original poster should look for '73-'76 Duster/Scamp/Valiant parts. But they should go with whatever style bumper brackets the frame requires based on year of the body for simplest assembly. '73-'74 grilles are different from '75-'76 and must be use with the respective headlight bezels. Grille assemblies can be used with different year bumpers, but may require some tweaking. '72-'76 fenders are similar and interchangable and might require some little tweaks when interchanging parts between '73-'74 and '75-'76 from what I recall. Bumpers can't be swapped between regular brackets & shock absorber style brackets.

(What year/model is the rest of the body? Rear pic? VIN?)

My car started as a '74 Duster. But I converted it with a '75 Dart Sport clip and changed the trunk tail panel. But it retains a '73-'74 Dart Sport bumper.
