Should I replace the stock 360 intake?

No need for any smog devices on vintage cars here, I have plugged the EGR.

Any other differences between my 79 intake and the 71 non-EGR intake?

Performance wise, only the dyno would tell.
The runners look to be the same, not sure on the size of the ports, because I don't have them in front of me. In my opinion, anything with the smog era crap cannot run better than pre-smog parts. Anything after 74 I try to avoid. Below the carb area is what I'm looking at, seems restrictive for flow. Plus there is no plugging of egr ports etc. It would be interesting to get the 2 intakes on the dyno and see if there is any difference in performance.
