Yes. The 331 and 354 are low deck engines, similar to the 383 and 400. The 392 is the tall deck variant, like the 413, 426 and 440. 331 and 354 share the same basic cylinder head measurements, while the 392 heads are all by themselves. Rather than make the difference for the tall deck engine with a wider intake manifold, Chrysler made the 392 heads have longer intake runners to make up the difference. This is why people serious about making power don't use 392 heads. The intake ports and longer and have more of a restrictive curve than the 331 and 354 heads. Lastly, the 54 and up 331 and 354 heads are more desirable, because they have big free flowing oval exhaust ports, compared to the 53 small round exhaust ports. The best flowing early hemi heads are said to be the "555" or "triple nickel" heads. These have three 5s in the casting number. The truck heads also flow just as good, if not better with the addition of the 392 valves. That's what I did to mine.
