Well, a 408 is not a 360. Everybody knows what a 408 is so you might as well call it what it is.
In the light of recent updates,
you 408 is gonna ,sooner than later, blow up that weakazz overdrive gear. And when it does, the blowed-up parts can take the rest of the trans out with it. So you might as well shop for a regular A833, and matching BH. I have blown three of those od boxes up, all in the same summer, all on the street, none with a 408, 2 with a 367 and 1 with a 318.
And I would change; "probably a bigger radiator", to
for sure, a BIG radiator,lol. And upgrade the rear joints to 7290 for street / 1350 for racing, and a real driveshaft, and the rear end will have to be at least scrutinized.
