The male terminals are on the cable connectors. Needle-nose pliers with angled tips let you compress them right at the bottom locking tab. First pry out the felt insert for more room. I have a tool like needle-nose w/ U-channels at the end which let me press the sides without slipping off. You can buy new ones. They are termed "56 Terminal" or "Packard 56" (electronics manufacturer, not the car). GM also used them in the 1960's. They come is sizes for different wire gage ranges. Search ebay.

I squirt silicone di-electric grease into the female bulkhead terminals, indeed all connectors in all my cars, but especially important for those that might see water.
