I wouldn't sweat getting it done.... If you look back the progress will show how close you are. I have been working on mine for 5 years and it can sit 5 more. Life changes and we get involved with other projects. But you will get there. The difference is you have skills where someone who doesn't would have already sold it!
On the topic of Self defense, I think there are just too many myths about how things play out if you end up in a scenario using a firearm. I'm 2A all the way but having now used one for protection and impacting a family it will change a persons perspective quick so I hope people understand the reality of pulling the trigger.... JMHO
