I also posted this in the Mopar Interior forum...but my guess is that us orphan early A guys hang out for ALL the info in just this forum. so here's the post. If you can help!!!!!!! great!!!!!!! anyone in NJ want to make a few bux and install the headliner and glass? no tear out. just install with all new parts! PM me!

Hi All. Its been 6 or so years since the interior was removed from the 65 Barracuda. now is the time to put it back in.....but I can't remember the sequence! lol

Currently: front and rear glass out. front door cards on, glass in too. No carpets installed or headliner. Dash installed.

Headliner first before glass: I need the bow color sequence; I noted front to back ( brown, green, blue, yellow, violet)...correct?

Also: there is some thin cardboard stock / paper that I THINK was between the carpet and seat back and floor pan.
Is that correct?

I you fellows could post lots of pictures of your installs including carpet....that would be GREAT help thanks

I can get you bow color sequence if they are so marked as I parted out a 65 and numbered the bows should someone needed them.

I’ve already recovered the rear swat back and cushion to use in my 65 wagon and there was some really thin cardboard between the metal part of the seat back and upholstery

FWIW, headliners are actually quite easy to put in. I did my 69 Barracuda FB about 20 years ago. My college age daughter and I did it in one day. Just take your time and use a GOOD quality contact adhesive and you will be fine. I helped a friend restore a 67 Mustang coupe, and he was going to pay an interior shop to do the headliner. I talked him out of that and we did it ourselves. As for the glass, That is really easy to install, Just make sure the gaskets are warm and soft and use a spray bottle with soapy water as a lubricant as you pull the twine around. There are lots of YouTube videos on these subjects.

I installed the headliner in mine alone and will never try it alone again. My hands hurt for 2 days afterwords. Get the center tight and centered across the midway point and then work forward and backwards. Very easy to get the seams cockeyed. I can see a lot of help would be had with a competent helper, especially getting the material pulled tight over the dragons teeth. Glass was the easy part. Smooth Gojo with lanolin works great, wont dry out and wipes away clean. The string method works very well: pack a good cord, like a yo-yo string weight into the gaskets window channel. Get the window started and pull the string out across the window to flop the gasket lip out over the window, it'll suck it right in. Even the rear goes in pretty easily.

Question: the thin paper that goes between the seat back and carpet AND floor pan and carpet......is it needed? for what? did you replace it? if so, with what? brown paper for floor coverings from HomeDepot seems close.
