Stop in for a cup of coffee

Those whistles are cool!
I have a klaxton horn i want to fix, the diaphragm is bad. But i found something that will work. Unfortunately i have to sacrifice my piston ring compressor for the spring steel. Its a big one, and i dont really need it.

I was considering that 383 because its ready to run. The 440s I've found are in ok shape but I figure if I went with a 440 I might as well just pull my 360 and have it rebuilt.

With that being said if I pulled the 360 what would be the best thing I could have done to it? Port and polish the heads and higher compression pistons, right?

There's nothing wrong with a 383. They are fantastic engines. That's the good thing about our old Mopars. 170, 198, 225, 273, 318, 340, 360, 383, 400, 426W, 426H, 440.....just pick one and you have a fantastic engine. It's not difficult to get a good one. Just difficult to make your mind up.

Tell you what Marilyn and the new woman across the street are hooked on that stuff. Prob need Tim to pick up a case next year on his trip east.

I actually have one of each style now in cars. All are great engines (/, LA, RB)

I was just looking at Transdapt/Hedman, when it comes to putting a Mopar into anything, choices are slim. 67-72 A body and some B body, Few Gen III universal setups.

I cannot brag on this 170 enough. No way in the world did I ever think one would run this good. none of my 225s ever did and I've had a few. "I guess" the shorter stroke allows the engine to get there quicker. It does have 3.55 gears in it, so I'm sure that helps, but that ain't all.

Car pranks were funny. Fish under the hubcaps, zip ties on the driveshaft hitting the body. Best we did was put a few frogs in a friends car. They stay under the sear "for a while" Fun times.

With Schumacher now gone, there’s definitely a market void.

I know where there is a old 50's hemi sitting could prob get it cheap, have no reason to though.

Buy it, put it on a stand and slowly restore it. Push it to the corner of your shop when your not working on it. Maybe one day you'll find a buyer for it. And he'll appreciate the attention to detail you put into it over the years.
