I have converted 4 or 5 over the years but mine have been hand built with levels, tape measures and bonehead, backyard skills. Your method looks more precise!
Hey, but you goterdun. It is a bit easier fabbing the pieces off a template, then building from the bolted on jig down to the K frame. I may be picking up 2 more slant sux Ks to modify soon.
