"V8'ing" a Slant K member

^^That is a good point^^ It occurs to me what is the best route. Seems like the older OEM style pillow mounts are harder to get?

So should a guy go with.........
72 back pillow mounts?
73/ later spool mounts
Or build a jig that reflects clear up to the engine ears and go with "something else"

Again, all this comes to mind because of "the end" (evidently) of the swap mount availability

I dug around and can't find it here, but somebody posted the other day that you can buy new small block spool mounts complete from O'Reilly's . Both sides, from the ears on the block all the way to the k frame saddle. One side was $10 and change, and the other side was $12 and change. 2 brand new motor mounts for less than $25! You might have to buy thru bolts. I went out in the garage and looked at the V8 spool mount k frame in my Duster, and compared it to the one in the link I posted above, and the passenger side motor mount saddle on both the V8 and slant 6 k frames look to be identical and in the same spot. Maybe @Alex5280 can clarify if he had to do anything to his /6 k frame other than make the modification to the drivers side saddle. If that's all he had to do......it's a no brainer! :realcrazy:
