"V8'ing" a Slant K member

I dug around and can't find it here, but somebody posted the other day that you can buy new small block spool mounts complete from O'Reilly's . Both sides, from the ears on the block all the way to the k frame saddle. One side was $10 and change, and the other side was $12 and change. 2 brand new motor mounts for less than $25! You might have to buy thru bolts. I went out in the garage and looked at the V8 spool mount k frame in my Duster, and compared it to the one in the link I posted above, and the passenger side motor mount saddle on both the V8 and slant 6 k frames look to be identical and in the same spot. Maybe @Alex5280 can clarify if he had to do anything to his /6 k frame other than make the modification to the drivers side saddle. If that's all he had to do......it's a no brainer! :realcrazy:
I would think that would have made it easier for the factory back then too. More common parts. They were heading that direction in 1973 anyways. Chrysler started to hemorrhage red ink by 1975, more common parts used across a wider range was the theme back then, so the RH K frame mount being the same from slant sux to small block V8 by 1973 would have made more sense to the bean counters
