Stop in for a cup of coffee
On my first job out of college, I was sent to the manufacturing plant in Blytheville, AR (
@memike knows that town), and they had a small restaurant in town that was only open for breakfast and lunch and closed for dinner... You could get a good home cooked meal there, like meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and green beans... The one waitress used to make fresh home made pies every day... Those were the best pies that I ever tasted....
One time I was there with some coworkers and when our waitress brought us our check mentioned that she was going to make a strawberry pie "tomorrow".... We asked if she could save us each a piece and we would be in tomorrow... She did... She saved us three pieces of pie... (Only three more pieces left for other customers - but the early bird gets the worm)... That was the best pie I've ever had...
When I got married down there, we took my wife's father there for lunch and he agreed that those pies were the best he ever tasted...
I drove by there about 10 years ago when passing by on a road trip, but couldn't find them anymore... I think they closed... :(
