Our logo is Sunny Manitoba.
I don't know the moron that adopted that.
It's only sunny one day a week, and I have to work that day.
It's only ever NOT windy on a day that I have to work.
It always rains on the weekends.
But there is a silver lining; Global warming has come to us, and this November has been exceptionally warm, sunny, and precipitation free. So far, this fall has been easy on my heat bill.
Oh yeah, we are the home of Giants; A giant Camel, a giant sturgeon, a giant dinosaur, and the Giant Pumpkin.
They have a weigh-off every year; ever see a 1000 pound Orange squash? I have. I think there was a year, that one showed up so big, they couldn't weigh it locally.
And Manitoba is the Home of 4H.
And somewhere in Southern Manitoba is the geographical center of N.America. Yeah like who figured that out.....
At one time, just a few years ago, I lived here in what is affectionately known as the Bible Belt, cuz, you know, there was a well supported church on nearly every corner. And no bars. and no place to buy alcohol other than rubbing alclhol. But that all changed one day, when a local town reached City status and the Mayor got greedy. He opened the doors to immigration, and all the riff-raff came. It's been downhill ever since. I kid you not.
We have now, walking among us, a fat girl wearing Daisy-Dukes with the azzcheeks cut out of them. Unbelievable!
