383 pitman arm difference?

looking at pitman arms for my 67 barracuda noticed they list a different one for 383 equipped cars. just wondering what the diff. is.

It dips lower. Prob to clear the BB oil pan?
Not sure if ball joint shaft diameter is different for the BB center link.

thanks, was wondering if it was to clear the pan or possibly the exhaust. I notice the idler is diff, also.
 
don't really need anything at the moment, was just wondering what the difference is and why. but thanks for the info.

Just ordered a set of 1968 "A" 383 pitman and idler arms from Firm Feel, I'll let you know when they get here.
 
If you look at the application for the K7074 Moog pitman arm, it says "NOT for 67 Dart 383.
 
This 69 383-s I owned for 25 years had optional fast ratio steering. The standard 383 pitman arm did not fit. Firm Feel got me the right one. Rod
