Hi Folks

Does anyone recognize this weatherstripping profile? I got about 20 feet of it in a parts lot I purchased. Any ideas? My project came without any weatherstripping so I have nothing to compare it to.

Thanks

is your project a duster? when the sun comes up I can look again, but that profile looks a bit like my old 1972 Duster door/ window seal.

I am restoring a '71 Demon. This weatherstrip came in a long continuous piece, about 20 feet long, and I know the guy I got it from cut it off of an even longer piece. LOL...I've been rounding up parts lots for this build and some of the stuff isn't even for the car. I hate passing on stuff, and finding out later that I needed it......I will never buy an incomplete car again!:)

oh thats such a great car to restore! I Love the look of those things....yeah, at this point everything is incomplete or a million bucks. Hell, the journey is half the fun. I LOVE getting a box of random Mopar stuff-It's like Christmas for me!!

I have a '72 Duster and still have a lot of 70-72 parts left over (small stuff mostly, all boxed up), PM me if you need something specific, I may have it-I am in AZ so there is tons of stuff out here.
I will try to get a pic of my window seal and post it after work today....maybe that will help you with ID. This site is great, tons of help and knowledge-someone will eventually help you figure it out. Good Luck!

Troy, I know one of the mfg websites lists pics of profiles to be able to help id. Not sure if Metro or Soffseal maybe?

Here's the website 4spdragtop was talking about. They are about 10 minutes from me but I'm on my way to Florida for a couple of months right now. I wish I could be more helpful.

it is not a window/ door seal....at least not on a '72.
I opened up a set of front and rear windscreen gaskets...this is a rear, 1972.

Looks pretty close....that may be enough to focus your search at the sites mentioned above.

rear window gasket, 1972 DUSTER. Part # WCR BD4932
Precision Reproductions

Hope that helps ya!
