I just bought this car about two months ago and haven’t driven it much. There’s a slow leak in the diff and I was contemplating rebuilding it, but after research decided to change it out. I’d go with an 8 1/4 as well, but I want to try and wait it out a bit first for an 8 3/4. I don’t think I’ll ever have a monster engine in this car, but my friends with A Body Mopars all suggested going with an 8 3/4, if I can find one for a fair price. I’m not trying to spend $2500 for a rear end on a car I paid $8k for that has no major upside in value. I guess I’m hoping to get lucky and find something needing a little TLC.
