Finally got out of creeper mode and joined the forum. I've been in the process of buying this 68 Valiant from an old yard here in town. There was a lot of getting to know the owner of the property/car and then getting the car in condition to be moved. Will be bringing it home tomorrow. I've been building things my whole life and finally feel like I could do an old car some justice. Looking forward to going over every inch of this car. Already I can't thank you all enough for gathering here to share your knowledge. I feel like I owe all of you at least one round for the amount of understanding I've acquired already. I hope to add to all of your entertainment. Cheers!!

Welcome from Texas, get the Mopar out & start collecting parts & pieces to get it running again.

The car was parked at 34k miles. The engine runs great!! Everything else has just corroded. I have fender, bumpers, and a fair amount of other bits. Just want her to see the road again ASAP. Then the goal is to upgrade systems one at a time.

Welcome to FABO, from the Land of Lincoln.. Thanks for sharing... another Mopar saved, two thumbs up.

Nice Valiant, looks like a lot of work but doable. Bring it back to life!, anyone can buy new but bringing back a piece of history is what its all about. Incidentally I would have taken a Corvair also especially a 65 to 69, but that's just me. Good luck and welcome to the money pit.
