I also didn't know that part was painted, I know in the later darts it was but I couldn't find anything saying that about the 67-9 cars. It looked aluminum/chrome/anodized like the other areas.
The 100 grit paper really did work on it late last night.
I just looked at Walmart and owes by my school and both places were cleaned out of cleaning supplies... pun intended... if people would stop making a run on cleaning supplies and toilet paper that would be great...
