I've searched the boards and have seen some older threads with some general info on build quantities by engine/tranny for 60's cars, but nothing down to the color level. I'm a 3rd generation owner of a 65 273 4bbl 4spd Barracuda that's been in the family since new, and am trying to figure out how many were made in the Copper Poly color w/ black interior. Any suggestions on where to look? I know there were 4,874 4bbl 4speed cards built that year, but that's as far as I've gotten. Any help is appreciated - thanks in advance!

There are no breakdowns for colors on the early cars. I don't know if there ever was. Apparently production records were lost in a fire years ago. Nice Barracuda though.

Thanks - Appreciate the quick reply. That explains why I've run into a dead end!

Just curious about the source for the production # you have? I didn't think any factory numbers were available for the early cars?

Galen Govier (no flaming) does Mopar numbers for a living. In all his searches, there is no color breakdown. Even in the late 60's there is just estimated percentages of colors so exact numbers aren't really known.

Thanks for that link. My 65 Barracuda is 1 of the 4505 automatic 4 bbl cars. I didn't know that before! Makes me a lot less likely to mini tub it now.....lol.
