I have an old(30 plus years) Lunati Hydraulic flat tappet cam that I'm trying to get all the spec's on. I called Lunati and gave them the numbers on it and they said they have no info. on it. I pulled it out of a 340 that came in a cuda I bought 20 plus years ago. It didn't have too lopey of an idle from what I remember but the rods were knocking so badly I only ran it for a couple of minutes. It's still in very good condition. I'm hoping someone here has one or has used one and remembers the specs and rpm range. I'm hoping it's a pretty mild cam because I have a 318 in an 86 D150 that has a flat lobe.(yes I read the 318 cam thread) Here's the numbers stamped onto the back of the rear journal: 110(LSA?) 3D(stamped upside down next to the 110) 285 300. That's all the numbers on the journal. There are some casting numbers between the lobes but I don't think they'll mean anything. I measured the cam lobes and came up with .305" lobe lift on both intake and exhaust which would give .458" valve lift. If I can't find all the spec's I may just send this one to Oregon cams and have them re-grind it to suit my needs.

Thanks,

that would be a excellent move. ken can make you a cam that works. 110 lsa is the lobe centers it's ground on.285 300 probably is duration,. should be advertised duration.

Thanks,

Took me 2 minutes to find it on the Summit site.

I don't know much on Cams but isn't that close to 340 cam specs ?

Yes, with the exception of the LSA being 110 from the 340 cam's 114. That Lunati grind is a really good one.

I didn't look on the summit website, I looked on lunati's website and catalog. They show a 285/305 street/strip cam with .465 lift. Summit has a typo in their catalog. That cam is probably pretty close to what I have though. I'm guessing I have an older version of that cam, possibly from the 70's? I've attached a picture of the stamping numbers. This website didn't give me that option on my original post.

It's the exact same cam. They simply renamed that line.
