Yes, A-body (73-76) mounted the calipers to the front, BUT when the Aspen/Volare came out the calipers were rear mounted. The spindles are slightly taller and the caliper pistons are different size, but they look nearly identical. The bottom line is that the caliper doesn't care whether it is front mounted or rear, only that the bleeder is up.


So there isn’t a braking benefit to the caliper being mounted in the front or the rear? I’ve been told that rear mounting makes the braking more effective, whatever that means. Never bought it, but I could be wrong.
