Carbon fiber dash pad.

-
Awesome work! I need to get back into composites. I was originally thinking about doing this, but I was stupid and didn't leave the foam on my dash frame. Now I have a bare frame and I'm trying to brainstorm what I should do with it. I do have a vacuum pump and a roll of fiberglass in my garage.

Have you considered balsa? You can shape it.
Also, there is dense foam that you can glue on and shape.

That's actually good advice. I just checked on Amazon and there's some form rolls for pretty cheap. Maybe I'll go this route.

If you go the foam route, you want rigid foam, you can shape it with an adze, or a bondo cheesegrater and then sand it, bondo it, et cetera.

Got the first layup knocked down and got the first flood coat on.
