:wtf: I am not sure my 6800# Raptor couldn't compress these springs!

This is even with the front hangers set in the -1" location.

Needless to say Mancnini will be issuing an RMA tomorrow. With all the negative reviews of these I should haven't taken a chance, I replaced my 49 year old originals.

Typical 275/60/15, 15 x 8 w/ 4.5" back space on big bolt pattern brakes AR

Yikes - They obviously moved my axle forward along with setting like a monster truck.

I think I am running those on my Barracuda . Yes ...they are firm and I had to flip my front hangers to get the rear end down . They do seem to be softening up though . Or I am getting used to it .
Installed them 4 years ago ..lol

My biggest issue is they have moved my wheels forward causing them not to clear the passenger qtr.

I am going with the Calvert split monos std ride height and Caltracs traction bars.

As they settle in the leaves will flatten out and your wheels should move backwards .
But they are firm ! About the same as the SS springs on my Swinger. I was disappointed after I first installed them .

I threw a set in the trash that came with a car . Same issues. But measure the difference from side to side shim the close side back. Make a shim for the hanger in the front. Moat A-bodies are off like that vary easy to see under the car. The brace that the spring hanger bolts to will be located different from side to side compared to the hole in the frame underneath. After I shimmed mine the car stayed straight heating the tires.

Did you ever see a car going sideways while doing a burnout and someone has to hold the car or it would spin in a circle? This is why. Check you will see what I mean

I mentioned this because you said one side is close

Thanks for the insight, to be fair it is closer to the passenger side by approx 1/4 inch, but I know their is patch panel in front portion of the quarter making the wheel house a lil thick in the area the tire is closer in.

Looks Good, your wheels/tires are at least centered in wheel house.

Is there a difference between the "factory" XHD springs and Mancini spring? Are the Mancini springs a house brand take on the Mopar springs?

Not sure got them for free, but they work with nothing more then a pinion snubber and a set of drag shocks car has 60' in the low 1.40's..

I'm guessing that's why some cars drive down the road swayback.

Running mopar s/s springs on my dart and 68 coronet, they are nowhere near that high !

I put Mancini's xhd springs on my Duster, but added a 1" lowering block.
They are fine, and are not stiff.

That's real good......'specially since you need to slack off on the twinkies. lol

With the car on the ground. Slide under it and loosen the 4 u bolt nuts on each side. Then, torque them all back down to 45 LB FT. You may have the springs in a bind and they are not sitting down all the way.

Thanks Rusty, tried that this morning loosened the hangers and front spring eye bolt to hand tight. It appears they are pulling my hangers forward as well .

I had the same issues with MP SS springs (Two RH sides).

I need to get them De-arched, as that will help the wheel-centering issue, but my wheels are NOT centered evenly front-to-back, from side to side on the car.

How can you blindly shim the front hangar without an alignment? Wouldn't you risk pushing the rear out of allignment? I've seen plenty of old cars that dog-track.

The four nuts on each side that hold those plates on in his hand.

No I did not loosen U-bolts. Let me try that.

Needs to be done with the weight on the tires. Just loosen them just enough they are loose and retighten to 45 LB FT. No tighter or they can make the springs bind. The springs must be able to slip as the car's suspension works.

Got it. Loosened them and put it back on the ground. I bounced up and down a bunch, I am going to let it set overnight and see if it improves, my passenger side sets over 1.25" higher than the driver. Right or wrong I feel like the severe arch on the spring is pulling my wheels off center in the wheel houses, with my old saggy *** springs with the cheesy coil over shocks this offset wasn't really noticeable ;(
