Need help with missfire under load on 340

Years ago ('79ish) I had '71 Satellite (318 with 100,000+ miles) that with a ight throttle/pedal was OK, but heavy throttle/pedal it would stumble/sputter/surge. Took it to a repair shop and they replaced the worn distributor and all was good.
