Non-ethanol vs 93

The cam card on that says 108 ICL. That's 4 degrees advanced. If you put it in dot to dot, it might not be right. Did you degree it?
Yea it was degreed don't you remember the whole thing with the timing chain?

We have a small airport nearby wonder if they sell fuel
I have a small airport near me. Self serve. I buy five or ten gallons per trip, and mix in a gallon or three when i take my brackett car (10.75cr, iron heads)to the track. 100Low Lead avgas, for about the same price as california 91 10% cat pee.

One thing's for sure. When you get that beeotch all dialed in, it oughtta be strong.

Man I hope so. I'm looking forward to the tuning process iv always enjoyed that

If it was mine, I would have some race gas on hand for startup and break in. not unleaded, either. 114 leaded. It will appreciate that.

If guys keep their small airplanes there it will more than likely have 100LL
I don't know if they have fuel there its not a big airport its mountain empire airport i think is the name of it. Its right there where I work about 3 miles away. On clear nights you can see the airport lights in the sky from work.

Yea that's it. So by full service does that mean they will sell to anyone? Or you gotta have a plane?
Not necessarily. Ours used to be full serve but they would come out to the pump and fill you up a 25 gallon drum in the back of your truck or something. Then it went self-serve at the pump. Call em. I don't think they'll have a problem selling it to you.

Airplane fuel to brake in a mild 360??? That's a bit drastic IMO. Go get a can of your nearest 93 and fire it up. This isn't rocket surgery.

Haha. Yea nobody is certainly suggesting to run it straight. Just a little mix. And to stay away from that dinosaur piss they sell at the stations now.

I went and got some non ethanol 89 today i think it will be ok. Id rather not put ethanol in it rigth now since its not gonna be driven atm. Once im driving it and i can keep a steady flow of fuel i wont mind running premium with ethanol. Iv seen what ethanol fuel does when it sets inside a carb. Its not pretty.

Cash is king ! Just take your cans and jugs, show up . I'd planned on calling ahead. There are at least 3(these I'm aware of) small airports within 20 miles of me . A somewhat larger one at the 40 mile mark,
Kankakee airport .

I think i would be more concerned about octane than ethanol.? Yay or Nay .? If your compression is up ,9.5 or more and i wouldn't want to have to give up any timing advance either . Id give up compression before timing advance , according to my modest. ?knowledge? understand of the overall .
