So I’m very lucky to be 45 and retiring in 4 months. I’m even luckier to have a very knowledgeable body shop owner taking a shot with me and hiring me part time to work at his shop. And the cherry on top is we are currently restoring my 66 barracuda. So after months of metal mods and body work I got my first shot at paint on my very own car. Here’s where we are at so far...

Looks great. Keep up the good work.
Jeesh......I thought I was going to be lucky retiring in 2 years at 60. Lol.

Thank you! I think if we retire before 65 it’s lucky! I’ve worked 22 years in LE and I’m ready to do what I worked at before I started on my path. I enjoy it and it’s a great change of pace. Congrats on retiring in 2 years sir!

Congratulations on your retirement. It’s nice when we can have a career that allows us to love the work...even if sometimes the folks in charge do their very best to work against us. I’ve been very fortunate to have loved my job my entire career. I’m fortunate to still be on my “A” game and plan on going out that way.

Agree 100%. I was born to do what I did for 22 years and it is unfortunate that it has taken a very challenging route as of late. Unfortunately that turn was a large contributing factor in my decision, however I choose to focus on the fact I can now turn to one of my true loves, which is working on classic muscle cars!
