Only thing really needs immediate fixing is the headliner in my wife's dart. Hawaii is hell on adhesives, nothing lasts more than 6 months to a year. So trying to use the factory style headliner set up is problematic. Is there an alternative someone has done to the stock headliner with the glue and the bows? It's a 68 Dart 4 door FYI

i used contact cement around all the edges. but i guess i am testing longevity of the cement still. the little spurs in the front and back should keep the front and back in place but i still used the cement there too.

In addition to the contact cement ( in moderation, the glue can squeeze out of the design perforated holes and make a mess) , I used at least twice the amount of clips than the factory used, like one on each side of the bows and one in the center of each section.

Vinyl door edge guard cut into pieces could work like a clamp along the sides.

I just got the car today- the headliner is completely out, no bows or anything at all. starting from scratch there. the care is pretty fantastic overall with 24k miles on it.

yes i also used twice the amount of factory clips after the contact cement dried. but while i was installing the headliner i used a whole bunch of those office spring paper clip things till the cement dried

I really need an alternative to fabric and cement, badly. The fabric will mold and the cement won't last six months. Duck tape comes apart in a month here.
