Should big blocks go in A bodys?

For a good street car a 340 or 360 is more then enough
For a streeter, that would be a fairly accurate statement.
anything less than 10 pounds per cubic inch and 1 hp per cubic inch; is blowing the tires away anyhow, for most legal speed limits. That is to say; a well-spec'd 360hp in a 3600 pound car, is gonna spin any street tires that fit in the small factory tubs, to 60 mph at least, and in the bigger ones, to 50 at least.
Furthermore;in the zero to 60 contest, the best you can do is 2 gears, so what you might lack in brute force, can easily be made up for by gearing.
Furthermore; it doesn't take a lotta money to build a 360hp/360 cuber, or even a 340; the 340 will just have less bottom end torque, which is not a big deal, cuz the 360 annihilates tires anyway.

But the rest of post #1, is inciting to say the least. Ima thinking you got a bet going with one of your chevy buddies?
