I have recently seen a decent looking 86 W250 for sale - want to look at it and trying to find some tech info but not having any luck with Google - anyone know a good source? It is listed it has the 360 but not many more details. I would like to know trans, axels, fuel tank size, etc. It could make a decent grocery getter and maybe a tow vehicle

727 Transmission (or NP235 if it's a stick)with attached NP208D aluminum chain driven transfer case. Dana 44 in the front (Dana 60 if it has king pins instead of ball joints). Front hubs could either be full time (Silver discs in the center), or locking hubs (Lock/Free switch in center of hub). Shifting the vehicle into 4wd involves a vacuum chamber mounted on the front axle (Dana 44). Dana 60 FF in the rear. Fuel tank is probably 35 gallons.

BTW.....Assuming it's a gasser 5.9 and not a diesel 5.9

I have a 1984 Dodge 1-ton but it’s just my plow truck, has a 360 and moves snow with ease, it’s a beast and rides like a lumber wagon

Adding to it... Will most likely have 3:21's. They are good dependable trucks. If it's not too ate up in rust and you may not even care about that.... Pics would be helpful. I still have a few parts from my days of owning one. FYI- the Vacuum line cluster on the back of the heater controls are notorious for crapping the bed. So if you happen to get it and the HVAC goes wonkey start there....

I used mine religiously and beat on it like a rag doll. With a mild 340 and everything else stock basically it towed countless miles and never let me down. That's a nice truck you have.....

...........And on a random note I think those axle disconnects were the stupidest idea ever..........
