Thanks, that explains why I have never seen a "C" clip 7 1/4. Never tore down a 7 1/4 that new. Only '60's and '70's. Though I have a couple rears from F,M,J bodies, here. Never even looked close enough to see if 7 1/4 or 8 1/4
