Duster A pillar trim differences

I am in need of A pillar interior trim for my 1972 Duster and have been told that the later A pillar trim is different, with different hole spacing. I have also been told the early A pillar trim is difficult to find versus the late A pillar trim. I am not doing a concours build, and am willing to drill my A pillar to accommodate the hole spacing of the late trim, if it still covers the same as the early trim. Can anyone verify the fit of the later A pillar trim on an earlier car?

I never noticed the difference but I have mostly 70-72 cars here

I've got a 76 Duster but this is the first I've heard of the A pillars being different. I assume they are not. The C pillars are much different. 70-72 steel vs 73+ plastic.
