Anybody have any pictures of a/c hookup using magnum compressor. Have the kit from Bouchillon and in middle of install. Have a 72 dart. Just thought If somebody had a working system might save me some mistakes.

Click onto my avatar. I believe it is what you are looking for.

Yes, good picture. Basically what I'm planning but I do have heater hoses a fuel pressure gage occupying some of that space. One problem I see is that my upper radiator hose is going to be right in my way. Do you remember that radiator hose part# or did you make it.

I will look on the radiator hose and get the # for you.
All the bracketry is from a 1999 5.9 R/T Dakota. Using that bracketry from that set up is what you see on my Dart. Everything works together. I am not familiar with the brands you are using. Hopefully it will work great.
Be sure to use the a/c connector on top of the compressor, as seen on my system. It is low profile and provides the clearance needed to close the hood.
There is fuel pressure gauge to the right rear of the carb, and as you noticed I did not run heater hoses.
Later.

All my stuff is from 98 ram 1500. The kit is hoses, fittings, evap and drier. Do you think the a/c connector on top of compressor is smaller than the ram one.

As I remember the other type rises about 2" above the base. So, you will have to compare.

Just ck'd it is low profile so no problem. Thats good because I already paid to have some fittings welded on the manifold. Did you have a chance to get that radiator hose part#.

Anybody have pictures of ed1946 setup? Some others might want to participate...
When I get the hoses made I will post a couple of pictures. Right now about all I have in is a evaporator.

Have not been in my shop since Friday. 6" of snow and another 6" on the way. I will get there at some point. Sorry for the delay.

Here are a few photos of the top rad hose. I believe this hose came off of the 74 Scamp, Magnum powered, (it is used) that I purchased as a parts car.
I could not find a part # on the hose that is on my car.
Hope these helps.

Looks great:
FYI: There is a factory clamp assembly the bolts to top of the alternator: it keeps the aluminum tubing from flexing.
Realize, it could cause the tubing to crack if they are not secured.
You can just see it in the photo of my motor.
If you cannot find the factory support possibly you could make one.

Thanks for tip, I still have original manifold, will make sure to use clamp. It felt weird taking new manifold set and cutting it up. Also have new compressor I'm installing. Have a wiring question, these compressors only require 12v from switch and ground hooked up to run.

As I remember, you are correct. I used the original wire to activate the compressor.
Also, I have a diagram I will forward that identifies the firewall connections. I will get a photo and forward it to you.

ok thanks

These are just helpful for wiring. I have an original Service manual that Used to get this layout.
I used an additional condenser electric fan to kick on with my system due to having an electric cooling fan.
Yours is more basic and should work fine. Also, as recommended, by my a/c guy, I purchased a front spoiler to help to keep the engine at the correct temp. You may or may not need one. And, will only know once on the road.

I have a sevice manual, use it a lot, thanks for wiring pics

One more question, where the manifold is bolted to compressor do you just use flat washer/ seals or do you also use a O ring around the part that goes into compressor ?

I do not have an answer. The a/c guy brought the compressor and manifold and he put it together. Rubber or other washer as seals: Been to long.
Manifold may have had the seals included.
