It Fits!!

I have used a Skilsaw for 36 years, most of those years with the guard pinned or removed. I have never even had a close call. I have seen others get hurt though. Often times, the safety equipment gives people a false sense of security and they get hurt anyway.

PS. cool project Rusty ..but I thought you were a "slanty guy" :poke:! I like the floating brake reservoir

What kinda frame you got under that thing? S10 maybe? Sure looks like it works well, whatever it be! :)

Oh hell no. This is all Mopar. 83 D150 short bed chassis with93 D350 running gear unbelievably, the cab mounts were the same width as the frame. I used the original 49 rear cab brackets. The front cab mounts even sit in the cab mounts pads on the 83 chassis. Almost like it was made for it.

Now that's good information to pass around.

Very cool build. I have a very ratty 49 Ford F-1 that was my grandpa's. Too rough to restore, at least from a money sense standpoint. Someday I plan on mating that to either a D truck frame or a Dakota frame , just to make my Blue Oval buddies cringe a little! I have one buddy that has said he would find and buy me an old Dodge truck if I would give him the Ford! LOL!

I wish! We ain't seen a flake. Send us some.

I made a template for the new mount pads. I've had some NOS Hurst motor mount wings for the early Hemi for years but had figured on using the modified 318 truck mounts I had bolted on the engine. The Hurst mount brackets are going to work much better. They will make the new mount pads mount right on top of the originals. Here's my template for the new mount pad.

Here's the Hurst wing mount and then the mount pad template. The "wing" against the frame will allow me to weld solid against the frame for more support. It will all be 3/16 steel.

Mighty tight squeeze, there! But with your mad skills, I'm sure it will look like it belonged there from the beginning.

I don't know about all that, but I thank you. I think there are a lot more people on here who have WAY better skills than I.

She's just begging for an old school 8-71 lol Awesome looking project thought!

Yeah that would be badass. Lord knows I've thought about it. That's a mighty big chunk to bite off so it'll likely never happen.
