Bob's Component Resto, Part 15: Decals

Your car looks very nice!
I find it amusing that all of the new decals/stickers are perfectly centered, aligned and/or parallel compared to the originals. The old assemby line workers just kinda slapped them on and went on to the next task. (Note the jacking instructions under the deck lid.) I always find dropped screws, clips, etc. on the floor when I remove carpeting. Gives an insight into the work ethic back then.
Not criticizing, just makes me smile.
Kosmik: Yeah, I agree and your point is well taken. I've found the same debris in the cars I've worked on (screws, pieces of vinyl roof, etc.). For me, installing a jacking instruction decal isn't just a 9-5 job, it's my hobby and passion. That's the difference. That's why my decal goes on straight and perfectly. Unlike the assembly line guy who's car is out the door in the next hour, I have to look at mine for the rest of my life.
