No A/C. Power steering, alternator, and water pump.
March kit $688.00 or The Beast kit $525.00.

With my budget, I would get neither. If I had the budget, I would go with the black set, because I cannot STAND bling.

Hey I have the same budget as you !
But I need the whole set and I don’t know if I can fish around for all the individual parts. I’m already in up to my eyeballs. I’m often discouraged but I am pushing forward. Thanks. You are a valuable first responder You are a valuable first responder!

As long as you are NOT running Fluidamper or any other brand that is thicker than OE that system will work.

If you are running a damper that is thicker than OE the only company I know of making a system just for the thicker damper is March Performance.

Anyone know the thickness of an OE damper?

I have two FD’s and two chicom FD’s and the FD’s measure 1 7/16 thick and the chicom knockoffs measure 1 1/2 thick.

I think your damper may be thicker than OE but thinner than the FD. I just don’t have an OE damper to measure.

Thank you yellow rose! I’ll double check before I pull the trigger. I’ll let you know how I make out. Dan M

On both my own and that Pontiac that I did I had to put a washer behind each one of the water pump mounting bolts to space it out just a 16th to make it perfect. It's a little bit of a trick but it's doable...

Here is a link to March Performance. They say it’s a 3/4 inch difference between OE and FD. That’s a TON.

And, it’s a PITA to shim the pulleys that far. BTDT. You end up with weird spacers in weird places. And that’s a mile when using spacers.

It’s also possible your damper is somewhere between OE and an FD. Since my FD’s measure 1.4375 (which is 7/16) we can use 1.5 inches for easy math. According to March the OE damper would be 3/4 inch thinner than the FD, which means the OE damper is .750 thick, which is what my rickety memory thought it was.

I hope this helps you a maybe someone else who comes along later. Here’s the link...

I cannot STAND bling.

a little well placed bling is okay in moderation, but by far the worst kind of bling is the Mr. Potatohead billet crap, which is what comes to mind when I see these setups. I do, however, like the black version. Makes it look much less Potatohead.
