SS Leaf Springs

Here's what I found. They're very heavy duty looking for sure. They have 6 1/2 leaves. The measurements I took are as follows: Center to center on the eye measures about 52". The arch measures 9" from floor to spring perch when the springs are upside down on the floor. Front measurement is 21 1/4" from eye to center bolt and 21 3/4 following the curve of the spring. Rear from eye to center bolt is 34 1/2" and 35 3/4 following the curve. These measurements are approximate as following the curve is very subjective as to where to start or end and hard to get a steel tape to cooperate. Generally center to center on all bushings and bolts. They will also vary a bit between other A-body springs depending on how much they've been arched.

You stated a small rake.,,, Id like to see the rear ride height they sit at.
I am going to use S/S springs also, and wonder what part number to use for my 340 72 Scamp.3.91 gears 10.1 904.

I installed SS leafs #002 / 003
back sits 2-1/2" higher than front. Demon sits on 14" tires on stock rims. I have not adjusted the torsion bars, there is a couple inches from the front tire to the fender lip.

If your car sits too high with the SS springs, get a pair of reversed front spring hangers, it lowers it just enough. We put SS springs on a 72 Duster & the owner didn't like it quite that high in the rear, installed the reverse hangers & he loved it.
