Perhaps the float is stuck open and the gas is just pouring in.... that would explain why it runs a couple seconds longer with the pedal to the metal. But soon as it starts the gas pours in as fast as the fuel pump can pump it
Kinda what I was thinking too. Not much feedback from OP. I realize he is busy. I'd be hitting that carb with a small block of hardwood and a hammer. Ya Ill probably get lectured for that. lol
