Got a new left knee Nov 3 to match the right knee I got in 2016. Still scheduled for more rehab but it was going well.... then...

Two Sundays ago I got some mega indigestion for about 15 minutes. Antacids settled it down a bit and I survived.

This past Sunday the family was making dark chocolate cookies with sugar frosting. I took one bite and the acid reflux was back X10.
Swallowed every possible home remedy then headed to the ER.

Widowmaker heart attack.

Took a $15,000 helicopter ride 40 miles to the cardiac center. They had a stent in my heart within minutes of landing. Wife said she got the call the procedure was done 18 minutes after they took off from the local hospital.

If you've never taken that ride it is pretty cool. Tiny chopper. They slid my *** into the fuselage from the tail....maybe 34 inches wide.

With an impossibly cute nurse next to me and the pilot and EMT up front we made the trip in no time.

Turns out I had two Widowmakers one week apart.

I'm recovering at home....weak as you can imagine. Pee'd blood after an injection. Pee'd everywhere after surgery. Don't use caths much anymore.

So I'm back just relaxing...

Join the club. Cardio vascular disease is no fun. I have 3 with one at a junction. The last one I got was the widow maker again. The first one was the widow maker. Get plenty of rest. Given how easy the procedure is it’s not a natural thing for them to stick lines into your arteries.

Wow, glad you survived...

Just remember - rehab is for quitters.... :poke:

Oh wait, wrong rehab....

My old friend Kenny have five stents....didnt feel good at a car show, went and had #6 put in in time to get back to the show!!!

I think your Christmas present is seeing this Christmas, and hopefully many more to come. My stent went in Nov 3. Is there a club?

The funny thing about my ordeal is I was calm as could be....I did say a little prayer in the copter but I had an unusual calm over me. Almost as if I was in special hands.
