Very cool. That big Chevy is gonna peel some asphalt up.

There was a Chevy 454 block I believe it was a original Corvette tri power block. I guess the previous shop did a terrible bore job on it at 60 over so they're going to have to go 70 over and use stock bore 440 rings on the Pistons LOL...
Of course my Keen Mopar ear heard that they had to bore a 454 70 over to get stock size 440 Mopar rings... (We had a good chuckle...)

I got to say in person the size of those intake ports got my attention quickly...
Then when he said what CFM was and the lift of the cam I was a bit taken back...

I have some 351C heads with ports about that size.

Thank you! My uneducated friend is such a dork and did not know that.... he thought they were the same engine...
The rocker arms are a dead give away for the Hemi, staggered valves are a dead give away for 396/454.

I thought the adjustable rockers on the hemi where cool..

Evidently a lot of other people think they are, too. About the cheapest you can find a USED set for now is 1K. That's why I went with hydraulic non adjustable rockers that were already on my engine and added adjustable pushrods for under 100 bucks.

I think they drilled and tapped Factory rockers..

In fact, those are hydraulic rockers on that 392 up there ^^^^^ you can see how small the pushrod end is. No room whatsoever for an adjuster.
