Korea we had to hump the packs
and crew serve weapons (.50, 81MM mortars and Dragons) and it was fine when we were moving but when we stopped, yikes! We finally stopped and set up and then finally got some sleep. Try sleeping in a skinny cotton bag (no high speed Army -20 bags for us!) with your cammies on and your cold M16 or worse, your SAW (M249 light machine gun) in the bag with you! And you better remember to put a canteen and MRE in there too or its gonna be frozen tomorrow morning. Yeah, winter rocks! But it
is fun to play in as long as you can drive down the mountain at 5PM and hit a Mexican restaurant on the way home. Here is winter in So. Cal on my front lawn this morning.
