Leftover chili. Better the second day!
Soul warming winter food......

I'm not sure how I missed this thread for the years I've been here. I have this conversation with my sweetie all the time. I am a trencherman - there's nothing better than solid rib-sticking grub in my book. She is a wonderful soul but far more on the refined side of things. What she sees in me I can't fathom, but I digress...
There's not a single thing listed here that I don't crave when it gets cold outside. Breakfast of biscuits and gravy, a couple of fried eggs on top, hot sauce, and a beer is heaven on earth. For dinner, it's hard to beat posole, any kind of taco (especially Puffy Tacos - to die for!) border style enchiladas, or spaghetti. I could eat this stuff till my eyes roll back in my head. A couple of fingers of fine bourbon for dessert, it doesn't get much better than that. A shot of tequila to go with the tacos is a medical necessity. Really. Alcohol is a natural disinfectant, I'm just making sure there are no germs to contaminate my tacos on the way down the hatch.
I copied several recipes and will get to cooking up a storm shortly.
