mostly. I believe some base model 1500s are still made but those are for sale outside the US. All 2500s diesels and above are at Sterling Heights, 1500HDs and those 2500/3500s with Hemis are out of both Sterling Heights and St Louis.

hehe I would ask if you wanna hook bumpers but I’m afraid either your aluminum would bend or my rusty bumper will pull apart haha

7-8 liters? That’s it? My 99 takes 3 US gal, plus 1 quart in the filter, 1.5 quarts if I use the extended filter. That’s what, 12 liters?
Diesel. Apples/oranges..

Hey serious question, was it you who had a cruise that was cancelled due to Covid?
Our cruise was cancelled, rebooked and cancelled again.
Wife was packed and ready to go, 4or 5 days before departure the cruise line cancelled.

Frank, you're probably better off not being confined to a ship , in close proximity to others you do not know... Save it for later in 2021....

Sterling Heights???

I remember going there and seeing how they were doing the B-pillar black out decal on the JA... They were sanding it at the end of the paint shop and then installing the decal a station or two later... No good...

My counterpart in St. Louis plant fixed the problem there and we copied it to our plant in Warren, Mexico City, and Saltillo... We had the weekly calls to decide who was going to take the lead on each problem so we were not all trying to solve the same problem a different way between the 4 assembly plants...

I told the female engineer how to fix their problem and she didn't take my advice... Sterling Heights would sand down the surface and then blow the dust off with compressed air at the end of the paint shop, introducing the dust into the air... Then applying a high gloss black decal in the next station after that where any spec of dust or dirt would show through the decal... I told her to separate the application of the decal away from the sanding and blowing process to eliminate the dust from settling on the adhesive of the black out decal or body surface while they were applying it - she didn't follow through...

They introduced dust while sanding the surface smooth to eliminate any flaws from showing through the decal; dust, orange peel, etc... All they had to do was move the decal application to the assembly side of the plant right after they came out of the paint shop away from the sanding... I even offered to have her come to our plant at Dodge City to see how we did it, she never took me up on the offer... They took the B-pillar black out decal off the JA the next year because of the customer complains and warranty... All they had to do was copy what we did on the Ram...

When they reopened the St. Louis truck plant for the Ram back in 96, they found a cab from a 71 Dodge pick-up truck in the bottom of the uni-prime dunk tank in the paint shop... It was perfectly preserved from being in the tank so long and had about 1" of primer caked on it.... Apparently it fell off the carrier back when it was being produced and they never knew it was in the bottom of primer dunk tank...

Of course many people wanted to buy the cab, but they scrapped it... :soapbox:

And no high flying seatbelts either @Princess Valiant only lap belts.

Was down hard again yesterday. Slept most of the day. Man it sucks like every third day now.

Might go out to the shop in a few got a crapload of stuff to find places for that came in yesterday. I think I can honestly say I will never have to buy another normal NOS/NORS vacuum advance again or pick up for a Mopar distributor now.
