Shock settings

For those of you that use front QA1 Shocker shocks (Part Number TR501, single adjustable race shock). Which setting are you using? They recommend a 0-6 setting, so I know trial and error will be needed to fine tune, but just curious where others have theirs set. Car is stock front suspension, ladder bar with double adjustable shocks in the rear.

I just bought a pair of front QA1 Stocker Stars for my '68 Barracuda convertible and posted a review on them. I love them. I always test the car on full soft and full stiff to get a base line on where I think they feel best on the road. I have them set to 5 clicks from full soft for road course type handling. The range of adjustment is great on these shocks.

When I go to the strip, I am guessing they need to be full soft up front and maybe a click or two back from that to allow the front suspension to lift and stay up there to transfer the weight back to the rear. For me, setting the rear up is more difficult to gauge.

If you are going for a serious drag racing set-up, having someone video your cars launch and your 60 foot times will be your best guide.
