Yikes. Close enough to be dangerous. And I have a 383/833/8-3/4 sitting in the shop with nowhere to go.

My father in law is in Spokane... my wife asked if I sent the listing to her dad.... I mean our other daughter is in need of a mopar as well...

Drove the dart across town to go to Aarcuda's house today for a couple hours. Car drove great, pulled hard, shifted nice and stopped good as well.

He taught me how to trim piston rings and then how to assemble the short block (?) Pretty sure I have the name correct... if he spins a bearing in this engine its my fault... its a nice engine, really nice and I dont think he has picked a car for it to go in yet...if he can't find one for it to go in I have a car that would gladly test it out for him... :poke:

After all the hard work we went and ate some Mexican food at his favorite little place with his daughter. He had me drive by his friends house who has a beautiful 68 GTS Dart which was what looked like a pretty blue or teal color.

He also donated some cylinder heads to me so I can try my hand at porting and practice before doing it on my x heads...

No work on the car today. Needed some lights around the smoker because I couldn't see out there, had some in the closet the past 2 years and hung them up. It also allows for the kids to play outside at night. Our HOA doesn't allow lights to be seen from the street so I never hung them up. I'm good at finding the grey area though... our old house used to be lit up like a light bulb at night.

Finished up prime rib for dinner (shop dog helped) and snapped a picture with the new cruisin glasses... they have a scratch in the lens so I emailed the company to see if they will do something about it...

That's one fine looking shop dog sir!

I agree! She is getting so big, 13 inches tall and 10.5lbs. She is also being kind of bad lately, she has been having accidents in the house... even though she knows how to use her dog door...

problem is most places are built backwards. garage should be 2000+ sq ft and the house 500

10 stall garage with an attached house:lol:

I agree. Thats what I tell the wife at least... hopefully I'll get something like Aarcuda has. That's the goal at least. My wife says as long as I finish school and she gets a nice house I can have a garage. By nice she just means like what we have now, nothing crazy.

There is a property not far from here that has like a 500 sq ft house and a 10,000 sq ft garage. The guy recently restored a 72+ Challenger in Panther Pink.

Got a package today... well my wife was outside when it arrived... I got in trouble... I'm going to need to get a night job...

Ok, so it’s Justin.
There is only one way to cure this illness. take the wife for a ride to a large empty parking lot and teach her how to do a burnout!
You thought i was going to say something else, huh?

She would love that :)

Damn it’s not a binding contract til you sign it.

Exactly and I told her I'm not signing it. Said every time she orders something on Amazon I get a car part lol.

The car ran great the other day though, so really not much to do on it.

Just need some carbide burrs and ill practice porting.

Just checked out the box o parts that came today. Vb looks good, I may take it apart to make sure everything is set up like it is supposed to be. Its super clean and the guy had it labeled nicely and placed in a zip lock bag.

In the 75 dollar box (100 shipped) get in trouble box was a modified cheeta vb part #17814, 2 gaskets, filter and 3.8 lever... I dont think thats a bad price at all...

That contract won't hold up in court because of the wording. The purple Dart is not located in a garage on Craigslist! :D

Haha I told her what you said and her reply washout tell him I'm getting a lawyer to draw up a new contract." :drama:

I did however go to harbor freight today to buy an electric die grinder but the store closest to me was out of stock. Got a rain check on price for the grinder. They did have this one, I like that it is speed operated by a foot pedal which is like a dental handpiece, but I wasn't sure it was adequate. Harbor freight also has a 4 pack of burs for 60, but I may buy some on Amazon for cheaper while I get the hang of it

Good idea going with the electric die grinder. I myself get annoyed hearing an air compressor pumping non stop.

she's going to look pretty silly when you keep buying parts even though you don't have a car...

Eastwood also has a foot-speed electric die grinder you might look into. My only gripe with it is the head unit is lighter than I'm used to with pneumatics.
