The best things about 2020 are?

....if you didn't sign up for the idiocy, it was the same as any other year.

Oh really. How many years have you had eye surgery, Heart attack while driving with your grandson in the truck. Total my new truck. And then come down with Covid 19????????

They say that hindsight is 20/20...

If I knew what 2020 was going to bring, I would have either skipped it all together or stayed in bed all year long in hindsight.... :BangHead:

Can we call a mulligan on 2020 and do it over to try for a better result....

On a lighter note, I added 3 vehicles to our fleet in 2020
  1. '80 Dodge D150
  2. '77 Dodge Tradesman 100 shorty van
  3. '79 Dodge Magnum
And sold one... '85 RC

The best thing about 2020? I did get a lot of work done on my cars, but I'm A-OK with 13 hours and counting...

Got a new car, got a new boat and got a 4 post lift. Also went on a cruise to the Caribbean with my lovely wife. Got to focus on the good things and forget the Kung flu!

For me it was pretty much like any other year, except;
the cost of gas went way down,
while the cost of a lotta groceries went up.
And my wife retired, so we're on a shoestring budget.
But best of all;
I switched to 3% milk, and come to find out, I like it way more than colas. But the hard part is keeping it to a liter per day.

2020? A good reason to drink tonight. I think I'll get started. LOL

You're still alive, you could afford a new truck, your grandson didn't get seriously injured, and you have eye surgery available to you.

You're doing better than 90% of the planet. Stop complaining.

Your the one that made the comment about 2020 being the same. I just pointed out you were wrong. What’s the mater can’t take it?

2020 IS the same, for me. Nothing new to report. Not everybody thinks like you. I plan ahead and I don't sign up for mass hysteria so TP shortages, food shortages, ammo shortages and common-sense shortages didn't impact me. I did not get sick. I work for people that can stand back and see that shutting down won't solve anything.
2020 is only different if you fail to understand that:
people die all the time, at any time
your job can end at any time
disaster can strike at any minute
we're only 9 lost meals from societal collapse and roving mobs can form at any time, for any reason or no reason

What's the 'mater'? Can't rationalize the things that happen in life in the context of how fortunate YOU truly are?

You could've been on the 1/3rd of the planet that doesn't even have eye surgeons.
You have enough wealth (or at least credit) to buy a truck that's worth a decade's wages to a large part of the planet.
You survived a heart attack (again, chalk that up to your first-world healthcare).
You survived Covid.
Your grandson wasn't seriously injured.

Life's a ***** and the only reason most Americans' don't understand that is because they are too short-sighted to comprehend just how fortunate they really are.

Be thankful, not contentious. If you think '2020 was a *****', then I got news for you; 2021 is no different and it's all down hill from here.

So I should apologize for securing my future a long time ago? For working 33 years as a firefighter and now I have a great pension. I invested wisely most of my life and have medical insurance and can total a 77k truck and buy a 80k truck to replace it? I am no genius and I’m no liberal. Most people that don’t have **** are from self inflicted ignorant decisions. Where do you fall in? But be glad you made my ignore list.

Scored a '67 horn ring and button! It arrived on the last day of 2020! I am grateful that I live in the best country on the planet, and that I can have a 10 mpg car that will really kick me in the *** when I punch it!

I know my car is a '68, but I just don't give a rat's *** that it's the WRONG HORN BUTTON! The s-o-f-t--p-a-d-d-e-d--R-a-l-p-h--N-a-d-e-r 68 horn button looks like dogshit. :icon_fU: :icon_fU: :icon_fU: :icon_fU:

I took a new job in 2020 running the cleaning at night in a HOSPITAL!!

I think my job is secure for awhile, lol. Best part is... I love leading a group of workers that clean every inch of the hospital, and I get to build relationships with all the charge nurses and department managers.

Oh yeah, and the ratio of female to male is 90:10. I've come to love scrubs :D
